Vučić: "I congratulate our people in Kosovo and Metohija for confirming where they see themselves and country"

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić congratulated the people in Kosovo and Metohija, saying they overwhelmingly confirmed where they see themselves and how they want their problems to be resolved in the future.

He stated that the Serbs gave their trust to the Serb List with nearly 43,000 votes, while describing the results of the opposing list linked to Albin Kurti as receiving just under 3,000 votes. Vučić said that in what he called “impossible conditions,” winning more than 14 times as many votes deserved congratulations.

He also claimed that votes from non-Serb communities influenced the distribution of mandates, saying there were expectations of winning three seats but that only one was achieved, which he said would facilitate governance for Kurti.

Vučić further alleged irregularities and criticized the electoral process, referencing similar situations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and added that some European officials, including Marta Kos and Kaja Kallas, were “satisfied” with the situation, as he put it.
