An influential Kosovo Albanian journalist says there are signs Kosovo's status "could be frozen". Veton Surroi, who is also engaged politically, made the comment in a statement for the BBC. "Kosovo's status freezing" He said the reasons for this turn of events should be sought "in the non-existent foreign policy of Kosovo, which comes as a consequence of the Kosovo institutions' lack of work", rather than in international obstacles. Surroi sees the north of Kosovo as having elements similar to those found in the frozen conflicts in the former Soviet Union regions, Pristina-based RTK television reported.
