Steps towards bird flu prevention
The institute in Kraljevo is thus to become the first and only national referential laboratory for perniciously contagious poultry diseases.The Institute will today present its activities for control, prevention, suppression and elimination of the avian flu and other animal diseases.
Director of the Veterinary Directorate at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Dejan Krnjaić will officially announce that the permit was issued to the institute.
A Delegation of the European Agency for Reconstruction (EAR), led by Head of Operations in Serbia Christos Gofas, is expected to attend the event.
The EAR financially supports the procurement of modern equipment and reconstruction of the institute's premises, in line with the best EU practices.
