PARIS President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS) Zeljko Sertic has conferred with world-renowned economist Jacques Attali. He also met with representatives of French companies from several sectors to talk about the long-term development of the Serbian economy and ways to attract French investments. PKS chief confers with French economists, businesspeople During his two-day working visit to France, on August 20 and 21, Sertic informed Attali about current developments in the Serbian economy, economic policies and reform-oriented strategy for long-term development, including the activities of the PKS. He invited Attali, who is the founder of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the initiator of the European program EUREKA, to be a speaker at the Quantum Leap conference the PKS is organizing in Belgrade on October 3-4. With his experience and vision, Attali would give a special touch to this important conference, where renowned economists and experts will present their vision of overcoming the crisis in Serbia and provide guidelines for accelerated and sustainable development, the PKS published on its website. While in Paris, Sertic also conferred with representatives of French companies from the sector of engineering, energy, water treatment and waste. At the meetings with representatives of companies dealing with telecommunications and information systems it was agreed that the PKS will organize a conference on the potentials of Serbia's ICT sector in Paris in the coming months. The talks in Paris also included Serbian Ambassador to France Rajko Ristic, Director of the PKS office in Paris Vesna Pakaj and advisor to the PKS president Zoran Bojovic. Tanjug
