During the session on Monday, the government also adopted the text of the memorandum of economic and financial measures with a technical memorandum of understanding, the government said on its website.

The letter stated that Serbia remains committed to the implementation of measures envisaged by the arrangement and describes the progress to date and provides an overview of the economic measures that lie ahead.

"Serbia has successfully implemented and exceeded the previous targets for the fiscal deficit and the primary current expenditures, has made considerable progress in addressing the important issues of strategic state enterprises and reduced fiscal imbalances," the letter said.

In addition to good results, it also highlighted the intention of the new government of Serbia to remain committed to the policies under this program, the government announced.

The Executive Board of Directors will make a conclusion on the fourth and fifth review on August 30, which was completed during the last visit of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to Belgrade.
