The dailies today lead with news about the end of the cabinet crisis, and bring more on the football mafia. BLIC—"Agreement", the daily leads with a huge headline, and reports from the meeting between Boris Tadic, Vojislav Kostunica and Oliver Dulic last night that put an end to a serious coalition crisis. Press: Ruling coalition finds common ground "Zvezda and Partizan cheated players and state with double contracts", is about a continued investigation into the criminal activities in two of Serbia's top football clubs. More stringent control of loans and borrowing is announced under, "Total loan obligations up to one third of salary". VECERNJE NOVOSTI—"Kosovo holding cabinet together!", the paper reports from the top state leadership meeting last night. "State to make wheat register", is about announced hikes in the price of wheat in Serbia. "Arrested so Red Star can be sold", the headline quote is from Dragan Dzajic's wife, who told the daily her husband did nothing wrong, and instead reached for a conspiracy theory to explain his arrest. GLAS JAVNOSTI—"Price of bread goes up", is the main headline news, and a consequence of record wheat prices in the markets. As for the ethnic Albanians in Kosovo, the paper says they plan to unilaterally declare independence with "Ode of joy, and fireworks". DANAS—The newspaper reports about interesting details from the start of yesterday's meeting of Serbia's top officials: "Aleksandr Alekseyev arrives instead of Vojislav Kostunica". The liberal daily is also focusing on folk singer and Zeljko Raznatovic Arkan's widow, Ceca: "Svetlana Raznatovic left country due to stress and loss of weight". But others are reporting that this may be due to her involvement in the football mafia scandal. A protest organized in Belgrade Monday is also prominently on the front page, "Time for prime minister to step down". POLITIKA—Although the Russian ambassador to Serbia was present, as other dailies report, the deal was in the end struck between the president and the prime minister: "Tadic and Kostunica agree – cabinet [to meet] first, then parliament on Kosovo Metohija". "Bakers once again knead increase in prices", more on the price hikes of wheat, and consequently those of bread.
