We will soon continue dialogue with Pristina which means that solutions for administrative crossings are close, Belgrade team chief Borislav Stefanovic says. He told Frankfurt-based Serbian language daily Vesti that the worst option was a KFOR operation. Team chief: Solution for two checkpoints close “We are in constant contact with the international community and it is good that there is no movement so far. I am sure that there won’t be any and listen to what KFOR is saying – we are looking for a political solution, let them find a political solution and we will be happy,” the team head was quoted as saying. “A solution for the Brnjak and Jarinje administrative crossings is close but it will not be ideal,” Stefanovic explained. “It is exactly what we are doing. We are looking for a political solution for Jarinje and Brnjak and we are looking for continuation of solving of issues through the dialogue with Pristina that will begin very soon since we are relatively close to solutions for the two crossings,” he told the daily. When asked whether solutions would be found soon, the team chief said that the problem in Serbia was that nobody was used to actually getting a solution when someone said it was close. “But when it happens people should say ‘well those from the government were not lying. They were telling the truth’,” Stefanovic noted. “Serbs at the barricades know as well that the state is supporting them in the peaceful protest. They know that we are looking for a solution and they know that the solution will be such that it coincides as much as possible with our interests, Resolution 1244 and our Constitution and law,” he said. “It is hard to achieve and it will not be completely the way we would like but people at the barricades should not run away from the responsibility either. I think that the state will show that it has a solution. I think we will manage to remove all problems that exist there,” the Belgrade team chief pointed out. He denied rumors that Serbia had been threatened that the amount of the EU financial aid would be reduced by the amount of money used to finance so-called parallel institutions in Kosovo if Belgrade failed to abolish them.
