Charters have been exchanged for the ratification of a social agreement between Slovenia and Serbia so that the agreement could take power soon. The ratifications of the charters were exchange several hours before the arrival of President Boris Tadic to Slovenia. Social agreement ratified with Slovenia Minutes regarding the exchange of the ratification charters were also signed, which should enable the agreement between Slovenia and Serbia on social insurance and the administrative agreement on the implementation of this agreement to take power on November 1, 2010. This agreement was signed between Slovenia and Serbia on September 29, 2009, after a visit by Tadic to Slovenia, after which the Serbian parliament ratified the agreement. However, the Slovenian parliament did not ratify it until March of this year, and despite expectations that it could take power in June of this year, the ratification charters have just now been exchanged, which will enable the agreement to take power in November at the earliest. The agreement organizes in detail health, pension and disability insurance, as well as unemployment insurance and life insurance based on contributions to employees in Serbia and Slovenia. The agreement fulfills conditions for a direct payment of pensions to more than 10,000 people. Slovenia already has such an agreement signed with Croatia, Macedonia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
