Drunk driver with 5.19 BAC arrested in eastern town

The traffic police in the town of Pozarevac in eastern Serbia on Thursday arrested a 42-year-old man for driving while extremely intoxicated.

Drunk driver with 5.19 BAC arrested in eastern town

The legal limit in Serbia is 0.3 mg/ml.

The drunk driver was taken to a minor offenses court and sentenced to 30 days in prison, with his Category B license revoked for 12 months, a police spokeswoman said.

It was also announced that in terms of the BAC level, this was the worst case of drunk driving ever handled by the local police.
