The Regional Committee of Trade Unions has been founded in Belgrade, the Confederation of Autonomous Trade Unions announced Friday. It gathers the region's countries that are in the process of EU integration. Regional Committee of Trade Unions Active participation of national trade unions in harmonizing legislation and implementing EU directives is extremely important, according to what was said at the meeting. The meeting was also attended by representatives from Montenegro, Macedonia and Bosnia-Herzegovina. "Everyone agreed to employ all of their resources to fulfil any agreements in the most expedient manner," said a statement, while it was announced that the role of the technical coordinator was given to the regional office of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation.
