Two of the suspect in a recent murder that involved a beheading are facing formal investigation. The pair, arrested yesterday along with another suspect, have been remanded in custody. Investigation into decapitation case The investigative judge of the Belgrade Municipal Court decided to launch the investigation early this morning. Velibor Bakic and Milos Rasic will be detained for one month, according to court spokeswoman Ivana Ramic. Danica Todorovic, the third suscept, is being investigated for illegal possession of weapons and explosives. Ramic said that the questioning of the suspects, who presented their defense to the investigative judge, lasted until 03:00 CET Monday morning. The severed head of Smail Taric was found three days ago in Kralja Aleksandra Blvd. after an anonymous call to the Belgrade media. It was later confirmed through DNA analysis that the head belonged to Taric. Two days ago, the police found the victim's body in a Belgrade park across the street from the Veterinary Faculty. It is still unknown when and how the murder was committed. But, sources with Serbian police, MUP, confirmed for the Tanjug news agency that Taric was known to police, and that his death was highly likely related to involvement in arms smuggling and with several criminal gangs in Serbia and the region.
