According to videos circulating on social media, at least two explosions were heard in Grozny.

The Russian Telegram channel Astra reports that one strike hit the Khankala area, while another targeted a location near the city’s railway station.

Hankala is home to a Russian military base and the headquarters of the 42nd Guards Motorized Division, which operates as part of the 58th Combined Army of the Southern Military District.

The railway station is located in the very center of Grozny — less than two kilometers from the residence of Ramzan Kadyrov and about 1.2 kilometers from the Grozny-City complex, according to the investigative media outlet Agentstvo.

Astra also notes that the building of the Chechen Federal Security Service (FSB) is only about 120 meters away.

The opposition Telegram channel Niyso published a video allegedly showing a strike on the FSB building in the village of Znamenskoye.

“The target was precisely hit. Residents are celebrating, while the ‘Kadyrovites’ are mourning. The leadership will be dissatisfied”, the post states.

The authorities in Chechnya have not commented so far.

This morning, explosions were reported in Yaroslavl, followed by a fire at a local oil refinery. Moscow and Rostov-on-Don were also allegedly targeted.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that Ukrainian forces carried out a long-range strike, which he ironically called “long-range sanctions,” targeting an oil facility in Yaroslavl.

The Russian Ministry of Transport stated that operations at 13 airports in southern Russia have been suspended after a drone hit the administrative building of the air traffic service in Rostov-on-Don.
