The United Regions of Serbia (URS) has allegedly proposed parliament not to pass any drafts until the end of its mandate. SPO MP Aleksandar Jugovic told Vecernje novosti that “parliament is sweeping serious problems under the rug, which is best illustrated by the announcement that peripheral laws will be discussed at the next session and not the referendum in northern Kosovo”. “The announced session is hypocrisy. It will be called so something could be done there and not a single item on the agenda has anything do with granting of the EU candidate status while the referendum could jeopardize the candidacy,” he was quoted as saying. The session was supposed to be held on January 31 but it was postponed. Parliament Speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic stated that it could be held around February 7.
