Croatia: Cash, gold, documents stolen from Interior Ministry

Unknown perpetrators have broken into the office of the head of the Croatian Interior Ministry's organized crime service, local media are reporting on Monday.

According to unofficial information, carried by Beta agency, the thieves took 280,000 euros in cash, two kilograms of gold, "and some confidential documents" from a safe in Zeljko Dolacki's office, located in the Interior Ministry (MUP) building in Zagreb.

The perpetrators reportedly entered the second-floor room via fire escape stairs.

Zagreb daily Jutarnji List is reporting that an investigation is ongoing, with investigators from the Croatian State Prosecution seen at the site of "the great robbery."
