"EUR 1.5 billion from IPA funds available until 2020"

Minister for EU Integration Jadranka Joksimovic says that EUR 1.5 billion in grants from EU's IPA funds will be available to Serbia until 2020.

She also pointed out that the money will be invested in "visible projects."

Joksimovic explained that, "when projects are being programmed," it is necessary to have "three years for contracting and three years for implementation."

For 2017, "visible projects" such as the water treatment plant in Brus and Blace, expansion of the collector and sewerage network in Kraljevo, the building for judicial institutions in Novi Sad, schools, hospitals, local roads, are all planned.

"All these are important issues, as as much as we deal with negotiations we also deal with funds for the purpose of regional and local development," Joksimovic told RTS.
