Serbia reports zero inflation in May
No inflation was recorded in Serbia in May and the inter-annual price increase totaled 9.9%, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia said on Wednesday.

BELGRADE No inflation was recorded in Serbia in May and the inter-annual price increase totaled 9.9%, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia said on Wednesday. Measured by the consumer price index, inflation totaled 2 percent in the first five months of the year. Serbia reports zero inflation in May The greatest price increase in May was recorded in the healthcare sector (1.9 percent). The price rise for clothes and shoes totaled 0,4 percent, while housing, water and electricity bills and the price of gas and other fuels increased by 0.3 percent. The price of food and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 0.1 percent. The drop of prices was recorded in the transport sector (one percent), alcohol and tobacco products (0.8 percent), and in telecommunication and furniture, house appliances and current apartment maintenance (0.2 percent each).
