Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) leader Cedomir Jovanovic says every political gesture that relaxes relations is important for the region, Belgrade and Pristina. “We need to look at what happened in Dubrovnik in that light but we also need to admit that this is a behindhand act that would have had much bigger importance for the future of the Serbian-Albanian relations if it had happened a few years ago,” he stressed. LDP leader assesses Tadic’s move as “belated“ Democratic Party (DS) leader Boris Tadic attended the Croatia Summit in Dubrovnik on Saturday where he shook hands with Kosovo Albanian PM Hashim Thaci. According to Jovanovic, this should have been done on time, “in the summer of last year when instead of a rational dialogue we chose a path of barricades, confrontation and everyday fear of conflicts”. He believes that new political horizons need to be opened and that it was the responsibility of the Belgrade and Pristina authorities but also of all politicians. The LDP leader added that it was necessary for Belgrade to change its policy in order to solve all open issues that burden the political, economic and security future and that Serbia needed to quickly fulfill the EU conditions. U većem delu Srbije će danas pre podne biti pretežno sunčano, toplo, suvo i vetrovito, uz olujnu košavu u Beogradu, na jugu Banata, u Pomoravlju i donjem Podunavlju, a već u poslepodnevnim satima biće kratkotrajne kiše ili pljuskova.
