It is still unknown when the Belgrade-Pristina talks could continue and the pressure exerted on Serbia is being increased every day, daily Politika writes. Various EU officials are increasing the pressure by making daily statements, claiming that Serbia will not get the EU candidate status if Belgrade fails to reach an agreement with Pristina regarding its regional representation next week. Daily: Pressure on Serbia increases German diplomatic sources told the daily that there was still a strong position that Serbia needed to fulfill certain conditions in order to get the candidate status and that there was not a lot of optimism that Belgrade would do that, especially due to opposing positions on UN Security Council Resolution 1244. The German diplomats still insist that Serbia must renounce its request to mention Resolution 1244 in the footnote below Kosovo’s name at regional meetings. Politika
