The police in the Montenegrin town of Budva took in a number of persons for questioning after the assassination of Dragan Becirovic, CEO of Beppler & Jacobson. Becirovic was also owner of hotels Bianca in the northern town of Kolasin and Avala on Budva, on the coast. Montenegrin businessman murdered Interrogation was underway and the police are trying to establish the motive for the murder which happened early on Sunday. According to the Podgorica-based daily Vijesti, an unidentified individual fired three shots at Becirovic, who was standing next to his car in front of the building in which he owns an apartment. Local media have been reported about "controversies" related to Dragan Becirovic and his brother Zoran for years, says Tanjug news agency. The weekly Monitor recently labeled them as "players in the foreground" and individuals in direct business deals with fugitive Serbian businessman Stanko Subotic, who is accused in a cigarette smuggling case, and the family of former PM Milo Djukanovic. Subotic refuted such allegations and accused Monitor of conducting a campaign against him, reported Vijesti.

Interrogation was underway and the police are trying to establish the motive for the murder which happened early on Sunday.
