President Boris Tadic met with Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini in Belgrade on Tuesday, his press service announced. The two agreed that bilateral relations between the two countries are on a high level. Tadic meets with Italian FM Tadic thanked Frattini for Italy’s strong support of Serbia’s European integrations, according to the president’s press service. He reminded that Frattini played a crucial role in supporting visa liberalization for Serbia citizens and police reform, which is proof that Frattini believes in the honest intentions of Serbia of becoming a full-fledged EU member-state. The Italian minister is on a two-day visit to Serbia, during which he will be discussing European integration and regional cooperation with senior officials in Belgrade. He is scheduled to meet with his Serbian counterpart Vuk Jeremic on Wednesday and Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Bozidar Djelic. European integration would be the key topic of these discussions, along with regional cooperation ahead of the scheduled EU-Western Balkans summit that is to be held in Sarajevo on June 2. Tadić thanked Frattini for Italy’s strong support of Serbia’s European integrations, according to the president’s press service.

He reminded that Frattini played a crucial role in supporting visa liberalization for Serbia citizens and police reform, which is proof that Frattini believes in the honest intentions of Serbia of becoming a full-fledged EU member-state.

The Italian minister is on a two-day visit to Serbia, during which he will be discussing European integration and regional cooperation with senior officials in Belgrade.

He is scheduled to meet with his Serbian counterpart Vuk Jeremić on Wednesday and Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Božidar Đelić.
