Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic met in Belgrade today with Greek Deputy Foreign Minister Miltiadis Varvitsiotis. Varvitsiotis is in Serbia on a three-day official visit. FM confers with Greek deputy FM The meeting focused on bilateral relations, developments in the Balkans, Serbia's progress toward joining the European Union and the situation in Kosovo, prior to a visit to Belgrade by the head of the European mission to Kosovo (EULEX) Yves de Kermabon scheduled for Thursday. During discussion on the global economic crisis and its repercussions, Varvitsiotis expressed concern about the problems faced by Greek businesses in Serbia and Jeremic promised Belgrade's support and assistance in resolving any problems that might arise. Varvitsiotis later met individual heads of Greek businesses based in the area, promising Athens' assistance in overcoming their problems, Greek news agency Ana reports. Varvitsiotis was also scheduled to meet Economy and Regional Development Minister Mladjan Dinkic, the Greek embassy in Belgrade said.
