Opposition New Serbia (NS) leader Velimir Ilic says he and Labor Minister Rasim Ljajic have together resolved a dispute. "In fact, this dispute between him and me did not exist," Ilic told daily Vecernje Novosti in an interview published today. Ljajic visited him in hospital on Saturday. Ilic: Dispute with Ljajic put behind Ilic remains hospitalized in Belgrade, after falling ill on Friday. Ilic denied he had suffered a stroke, and added that since with his heart and blood vessels are in a "completely good condition", he would leave hospital tomorrow. "I felt sick after the parliament session. It was all too much. The stress, fatigue, a manhunt against me based on nothing. I fell and I hit the back of my head and my forehead. I am recovering. I feel fine now," Ilic said. He also claims that anyone who reads parliamentary shorthand records will realized that he never mentioned Ljajic's religion, or insulted Muslims (Bosniaks). Ilic's comment that it was offensive for Ljajic to have signed Statehood Day invitations was interpreted as an attack on the minister's ethnic background. "Let the state prosecutor read the People's Assembly stenographs well and let him hear the tapes," said Ilic, after announcements that the prosecution is looking into whether the incident contained elements of a criminal act. "I have been emotionally hurt by the that fact neither the president nor the prime minister invited the people's deputies to the Sretenje ceremony, as is only appropriate. For that reason alone I reacted, because I really think that no one minister should organize Statehood Day," the NS leader, a former cabinet minister himself, concluded.
