France, the Czech Republic and Sweden are persuading Kosovo Albanian officials to negotiate the UN six-point plan with Belgrade, a report says. Albanian language daily Koha Ditore writes that "for this reason, after Kosovo's independence day on Feb. 17, the idea of talks between Pristina and Belgrade will spring back to life". "Pristina being persuaded" over six-point plan The newspaper also quotes UNMIK spokesman Russell Geekie who said that this UN mission's chief in Kosovo, Lamberto Zannier, will not be in Pristina on Feb. 17, "since he will be having meetings in Brussels". Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic said on Friday that Zannier will arrive in Belgrade on Feb. 19. Jeremic will be in New York on Feb. 17, for talks with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
