IM Ivica Dacic has highlighted the need for a set of laws in the areas of internal affairs and the judiciary to be adopted by the beginning of November. Adoption of the laws is vital for the EU report on the fulfillment of conditions for liberalization of the visa regime to be positive. Dacic: Visa regime laws by November Dacic, who met with representatives of the European Troika in Belgrade in his role as Socialist Party of Serbia leader, told journalists after the meeting that the EU report would be presented in Zagreb on Nov. 5 and 6. According to the minister, it was emphasized at the meeting with European Commission delegation head Josep Lloveras and the French and Czech ambassadors, Jean-Francois Terral and Hana Hubackova, that Serbia's priority was to be granted EU candidate status as soon as possible. Troika representatives will also meet with representatives from the remaining political parties in Serbia in the coming days, he said, adding that the meetings would concern party stances and cooperation with the European Union. Dacic also said that the Oct. 13 meeting between Socialist Party of Serbia representatives and the European Troika was the first official meeting between EU representatives and his party for many years.
