Nikola Tesla Virtual Museum opens on Serbian Science Day
The Tesla Global Forum and the Telekom Srbija telecommunications company on Frida presented the Nikola Tesla Virtual Museum, Telekom has announced.

"After the virtual museum honoring Mihajlo Pupin, we wanted to pay tribute to another scientist without whom the modern world of telecommunications would not exist," said Marija Boskovic, Telekom Srbija's PR manager.The Nikola Tesla Virtual Museum is designed as a comprehensive tour through the life and work of one of the greatest scientists of all times. The online platform also presents the Tesla Network, which comprises associations around the world dedicated to his legacy.

Also on Friday, a research center opened at the Nikola Tesla Museum in Belgrade.
July 10, the birthday of the Serbian-American engineer and inventor, is celebrated in Serbia as Science Day.
On this day "students and researchers from across the world will have an opportunity to search the database of Tesla's original manuscripts, notes and documents and use them for their research papers," Tanjug reported.
"Thanks to Samsung, the center has been completely renovated and equipped with the cutting-edge equipment and technology for faster and easier access to Tesla's works and scientific materials in a digital form," the agency said, adding that the exhibition part of the museum has two interactive boards with the installed application in Serbian and English, offering information about the scientist's life, achievements and major discoveries, with descriptions and photographs.
“We must work on scientific literacy and promote science,” Assistant Education Minister Milovan Suvakov said, when opening the center.
The director of Samsung for the Adriatic region voiced confidence that the cooperation between Samsung and the museum on the research center would benefit the society, as Tesla brought good to the entire world.
"Humankind owes a debt of gratitude to Tesla," he said.
