Croatia has asked Russia for the extradition of former Yugoslav Defense Minister Veljko Kadijevic. “We sent an extradition request on behalf of the Justice Ministry, but we have not yet received an official answer,” Croatian Ambassador to Russia Bozo Kovacevic told Moscow new agency Interfax. The ambassador acknowledged that extradition was almost impossible now in the wake of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev’s decree granting Kadijević Russian citizenship on August 13.
