Members of the Serbian government on Wednesday laid wreaths in front of the government HQ where Zoran Đinđić was assassinated 11 years ago.

Cabinet members pay respects to slain PM

The government delegation today was led by Prime Minister Ivica Dačić, and included his first deputy, Aleksandar Vučić, and ministers Ivan Tasovac, Lazar Krstić, Nebojša Rodić, Slavica Đukić-Dejanović, Tomislav Jovanović, Dragan Glamočić, Zorana Mihajlović, and Vanja Udovičić.

At the same time, residents of Belgrade started gathering and placing flowers at the location.

The anniversary today is marked with a series of events organized by political parties and non-party entities.

Đinđić's family, friends and colleagues, together with regular citizens, paid their respects to the assassinated prime minister by laying wreaths and flowers at his tomb located in Belgrade's New Cemetery section reserved for distinguished citizens.

The Democratic Party delegation was led by head of the party Dragan Đilas, who laid a wreath together with Đinđić's widow Ružica.

Former leader of the Democratic Party Boris Tadić also laid a wreath at Đinđić's grave, as did members of the party Together for Serbia, led by their president, Dušan Petrović.
