Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Ivica Dacic expects many problems in the implementation of agreements between Belgrade and Pristina. He stressed that it was therefore necessary to respect the agreements and prevent abuse in flow of goods. Implementation of agreements “will be problematic” The deputy prime minister said that the most important thing was to preserve peace and for Serbia to show that it was in favor of the dialogue, protection of Serbs and its national interests in the province. “There will be a lot of problems in the implementation of the agreements, but it is better to have a dialogue because the Kosovo authorities try to make the international community to be on their side by force if there is no dialogue,” Dacic said. Pointing out to the importance of respecting the agreement on the flow of goods, he said that it was necessary to prevent smuggling and huge flow of goods that citizens of northern Kosovo certainly did not need. According to the deputy PM, judging by the amount of oil that is transported to Kosovo one could think that Kosovo is ten times larger than central Serbia, and “we should not let such things harm the Serbian people”. “We advocate normalization of the situation in northern Kosovo and we are against creating ghettos and building Berlin walls, but we are also against creating preconditions that could cause a humanitarian disaster,” he pointed out.
