Goran Bogdanovoic says tensions in the northern part of the province will not jeopardize the previously started dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina. "On the contrary, the minister for Kosovo and Metohija told B92 in Belgrade on Wednesday, "tensions could only speed up the negotiations." "Tensions could speed up Kosovo negotiations" "I think there will be interest from the (ethnic) Albanian side too to reach compromise so that Pristina does not find itself again in a situation to make unilateral moves, so that we do not find ourselves in a situation to again put up barricades, so that there is not a situation where someone unfortunately dies," said the minister. "September is key for agreements in order to decrease tensions, and customs seals will be the first topic. I honestly expect we will find a solution according to resolution 1244, documents that will accompany goods from Kosovo will be status neutral," Bogdanovic added. Local Serbs late last night removed road blocks near the towns of Leposavic and Zupce, but the barricade at Rudare will stay put. The barricades were placed on the roads leading to administrative line checkpoints of Jarinje and Brnjak in the northern, Serb parts of the province after Kosovo Albanian authorities on July 25 tried to take them over and enforce a ban on goods coming from central Serbia.
