Colombia and Belize have recognized Kosovo’s unilaterally declared independence. Columbia announced that it had recognized the independent state of Kosovo, Colombia’s UN ambassador wrote in a letter to Skender Hyseni, the province’s foreign policy chief. Colombia, Belize recognize Kosovo Yesterday, Kosovo’s President Fatmir Sejdiu received an official letter from the Belize authorities notifying him of their recognition of the province’s independence. Hyseni stated that Colombia had decided to recognize Kosovo on Wednesday. Colombia’s decision to recognize was published on the Bogota government’s official web site.
