PODGORICA Montenegro and Serbia will soon sign an agreement on the avoidance of double taxation as the basis for continued good economic cooperation. This was stated after the talks between Montenegrin Minister of Finance Radoje Zugic and Serbian Ambassador to Montenegro Zoran Bingulac. Montenegro and Serbia set to abolish double taxation Zugic and Bingulac conferred on Thursday on the establishment of the payment services which should ensure more efficient interaction between the two countries' banks, the Montenegrin government said. The officials agreed that good cooperation between the two regional countries is the basis of the economic and European integration processes. "The talks tabled the successful cooperation that the two countries had up to date bearing in mind the common historic, cultural, economic ties and common goals in terms of the EU integration." The talks also touched on unpopular economic measures which both countries had to carry out, and the two officials agreed that these moves were made with a view to establishing a more stable fiscal system.
