BELGRADE The opposition DSS party is set to submit an initiative to the Constitutional Court, seeking annulment of all decries that stem from the Kosovo dialogue deals. The currently stalled, EU-sponsored Belgrade-Pristina talks have been ongoing since March 2011, and have produced a number of agreements. Constitutional Court to be asked to annul Kosovo agreements Party leader and Serbia's former Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica said in a statement sent to the media on Saturday in Belgrade that the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) will at the same time "ask the Constitutional Court to halt the implementation of all acts and activities that stem from these agreements while the process of their constitutional appraisal is ongoing - in order to prevent long-term damaging consequences." Kostunica also expressed his conviction that the agreements are indeed unconstitutional, and described them as being in violation of Serbia's legal order, as well as contrary to Serbia's national and state interests. "The best way for the state rid itself of these damaging agreements is for the Constitutional Court to annul them by finding them to be unconstitutional," the DSS leader concluded. Party leader and Serbia's former Prime Minister Vojislav Koštunica said in a statement sent to the media on Saturday in Belgrade that the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) will at the same time "ask the Constitutional Court to halt the implementation of all acts and activities that stem from these agreements while the process of their constitutional appraisal is ongoing - in order to prevent long-term damaging consequences."

Koštunica also expressed his conviction that the agreements are indeed unconstitutional, and described them as being in violation of Serbia's legal order, as well as contrary to Serbia's national and state interests.

"The best way for the state rid itself of these damaging agreements is for the Constitutional Court to annul them by finding them to be unconstitutional," the DSS leader concluded.
