Unknown vandals have desecrated a Serbian Orthodox church in an eastern Kosovo town of Kosovska Kamenica and stole money and a number of sacred objects. “The church in the town of Kosovska Kamenica has been desecrated,” Serbian Orthodox Diocese of Raska and Prizren Secretary Sava Smigic told Tanjug late Friday. The theft and desecration of the church was also confirmed for Tanjug by Kosovo police regional spokesman Ismet Hashani, who said that police had conducted an investigation on the scene and that further investigation was underway. The police spokesman added that the perpetrators had damaged the front door of the church during the theft, which occurred a few days ago.
