Serbia is among the countries that will boycott this year's Nobel Peace Prize ceremony, according to the BBC. According to the report, the Norwegian Nobel Committee has announced that China and 18 other countries - Serbia among them - will stay away from Friday's ceremony that will honor Chinese dissident Liu Xiaobo. Serbia to boycott Nobel ceremony While the committee describes Liu as "the foremost symbol" of the human rights struggle in China, the BBC reports, it also said that the envoys of Russia, Kazakhstan, Colombia, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Serbia, Iraq, Iran, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Venezuela, the Philippines, Egypt, Sudan, Ukraine, Cuba and Morocco would miss the event "for various reasons".
