Kosovo Albanian Prime Minister Hashim Thaci stated that the process of recognizing Kosovo's unilaterally declared independence "would continue". He said that there would be even more recognitions because of the debate before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague that was held regarding the declaration. "Kosovo recognition to continue" Thaci said that Malawi’s decision to recognize Kosovo this week was very important, daily Koha Ditore stated. “I would like to point out that this recognition is very important for Kosovo and our people at the end of the year,” Thaci said, adding that the process of recognition would continue. “Kosovo has presented a very dignified and professional argument which showed that it had the right to become a state,” Thaci said regarding Kosovo's presentation before the ICJ in defense of its independence proclamation.

Thaci said that Malawi’s decision to recognize Kosovo this week was very important, daily Koha Ditore stated.
