  1. Dada,

since they are only learning some absurd illyrian phantasies... what do you expect of them???

there is much to do in the future, in respect to school-enducation among the citizens of Serbia, that is clear.

but first we will settle the current problems, before we can finally start to build a better future for all citizens of Serbia.
( many K-Albanians have already got new serbian documents and they have experienced a completely changed atmosphere inside the administration-buildings! )
    (Jovan, 5 January 2008 23:10)
  2. After reading a few of the posts on this web site, I've came to the conclusion that Kosovo requires an efficient education system above anything else.
    (DaDa, 5 January 2008 04:04)
  3. Uncletonny, I know one thing that can stop it, RES 1244! Don't complain about it because your people were well awear what it ment when they signed it. Don't blame Serbia, blame Thaci & co. For signing you dream of indep away. 1244 is your road block to indep. And still there's no way aroud it.
    (Delije, 5 January 2008 02:15)
  4. wasn´t this meeting first scheduled for January 9th?

    my dear albanian friends...

    just another postponement...
    (Jovan, 4 January 2008 22:43)
  5. This is not going to be solved in the UNSC for a long time, the UN secretary General himself is divided over the issue.
    (Peter Sudyka, 4 January 2008 21:45)
  6. Kosova was invaded by yugosllav tanks and special police force and stripped out of it's atonomy in 1989(an elligal ocupation),and since then albanians lived in an aparthaid state untill NATO bombing in 1999,so independence is well deserved for kosova albanians. And nothing can s top that.
    (uncletonny, 4 January 2008 21:09)
  7. Enough with the indecision already. Is Kosovo's fate to be decided in the UN or within the EU?

If it's in the EU, cut a deal with the 6 or 7 naysayers, make Kosovo a semi-sovereign protectorate within Serbia, and move both regions forward toward EU integration.

If it's within the UN, cut a deal with Russia and China, get the EU mandate, hold off on the sovereignty, and build up the socio-political institutions.

But for Bob's sake people, enough with the waffling between the two institutions. If the status quo is "untenable", do what you know can be done without the threat of a Russian veto and move on. Serbs and Albanians deserve better.
    (Mike, 4 January 2008 20:57)
  8. Now I'm comfused. Witch is Ban, compromise or imposed solution. You don't even know what your talking about anymore.
    (Delije, 4 January 2008 17:40)
  9. i am almost convinced that USA, most of EU and world are nothing compared to russia, serbia romania and cyprus.
    (Kla4kos, 4 January 2008 17:25)
  10. "Ban still believes that a compromise reached through negotiations between the two parties would be the best solution," she said, according to Tanjug news agency.

-Of course this scenario would be the best but the UN and Mr Moon must and must again warn the USA and other countries that openly back up and intrfere during the negotiation porcess by promising independence that is never going to happen. Encouraged by these kinds of messages Albanians refuse to talk and ask for impossible.

Mr Ban Ki-moon should insist on continuation of negotiations in order to preserve some credibility that is left for the UN and the character that UN have. It is important that Mr Ban Ki-moon is aware that any solution outside the UNSC won't be the real soultion and he is the only one that will be considered as responsible for the future mess.
    (bmrusila, 4 January 2008 15:01)
  11. well well!!!!! What have we Serbs been saying all along, NO INDEPENDENCE!!!! Lets see how the albanians spin this one.....Game over! Kosovo is SRBIJA
    (Obilic, 4 January 2008 14:44)
  12. Kate,

Ban is trying to convince Russia one final time not to object granting Kosova independence through the UNSC. They have been repeating the same thing before any UNSC meeting.

There will be no more negociations, at least not with the Kosova Albanians.
    (Nick KS, 4 January 2008 14:29)
  13. Well, well. Looks like it's back to the negotiating table again.

The only way that this is going to work is if the outside interference ends, promises of outcomes are removed from the equation, and the two parties have to come up with something workable.

The outside pressure should only come in if one of the sides refuses to negotiate or budge, in which case they should face losing ground (to state the obvious I'm speaking of diplomatic and not physical ground).

At the moment only Serbia, despite coming up with more than a 'pal's pact', is being pressured. But hardly surprising with the tactic used by the US & a few EU members so far.
    (kate, 4 January 2008 11:27)
  14. "Ban also believes that resolving the Kosovo status outside the UN framework would have serious consequences for the world order," Montas said. "

FINALLY the world starts to understand what an illegaly recognized independent Kosovo means...

Ohh, I forgot "who is Ban-Ki mon?" He is not important, independence by the 15th of decemeber etc etc...
