BELGRADE Gazprom-owned NIS is "one of the most successful companies in Serbia and the region and is responsible for around 10 percent of Serbia's budget revenue." This was said during a meeting in Belgrade on Monday between Serbia's Prime Minister Ivica Dacic and Gazprom Neft CEO Alexander Dyukov, the government said in a statement. "10 percent of Serbia's budget revenue comes from NIS" So far, EUR 1.5 billion have been invested in NIS and there are plans to invest another EUR 1.5 billion, said the release. NIS has become Serbia's second biggest exporter, FIAT being the biggest, and it has recorded a 63 percent growth of export in the first 10 months of this year compared to 2012, Dacic was quoted as saying. NIS's contribution to the Serbian budget is constantly on the rise and was at RSD 182 billion last year based on various taxes, which is around 10 percent of the national budget revenue, it was said at the meeting.
