Leoni factory starts work at full capacity

The 25,000 sq meter plant is an investment worth over EUR 21 million, with government subsidies amounting to EUR 10.5 million - EUR 7,000 per employee.

The construction of the plant began in August 2013 and trial production kicked off in April 2014.

Leoni has been operating in Serbia since 2009, when it became one of the first major German investors from the automotive industry alongside Draxlmaier.

The company currently has three production plants in Serbia.

The ceremony was attended by German Ambassador Axel Dittmann and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia President Marko Cadez.
