EXIT was named the best music festival to visit in Europe in 2016 by leading tourist organization Best European Destinations, organizers have said.

EXIT is "best European music festival to visit in 2016"

England’s Secret Garden Party, Belgium’s Tomorrowland, Glastonbury Festival and the Hungarian Sziget Festival are ranked below EXIT on this list.

EXIT is an award-winning summer music festival, held annually at the Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad, northern Serbia.

The festival is "considered by many as one of the best festival venues in the world," Best European Destinations said on its website, according to Tanjug.

EXIT is "unique in the festival world as it started as a student movement fighting for peace and democracy in Serbia and the Balkans and even today has a strong social mission to help youth in the Balkans and it is run by a non-profit organization," it said.
