Serbia announces Euro 2008 qualifiers squad

It was the first callup for Kuzmanović, a Swiss-Serb national who had turned down an offer to play for Switzerland.

Serbia plays Kazakhstan away on March 24, and Portugal in Belgrade on March 28 in the Euro 2008 games.

Midfielder Saša Ilić of Galatasaray was not included in Clemente's squad but regular starters included defenders Nemanja Vidić of Manchester United, Sevilla's Ivica Dragutinović and Shalke's Mladen Krstajić; Inter Milan midfielder Dejan Stanković; and strikers Nikola Žigić of Racing Santander and Marko Pantelić of Hertha Berlin.

Stanković, Serbia's captain, is suspended for the match against Kazakhstan but will play against Portugal.

"We must win against Kazakhstan, and those are the most difficult matches to play," Clemente said. "Against Portugal, we will see how strong we actually are."

Finland leads Group A with 11 points from five games. Serbia and Poland have 10 points each, while Portugal and Belgium have seven. Portugal and Serbia have a game in hand. Two teams from the group advance.
