Montenegrin PM congratulates Seselj, party "shocked"

Montenegro's SDP party said they were shocked by Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic congratulating <a href="http://www.b92.net/eng/news/crimes.php?yyyy=2016&mm=03&dd=31&nav_id=97541" class="text-link" target= "_blank">Vojislav Seselj on his acquittal.</a>

Montenegrin PM congratulates Seselj, party "shocked"

"Despite the accumulated memories of various phases of Djukanovic's political and patriotic maturing, the SDP is simply shocked by his congratulations on the acquittal of Vojislav Seselj," a statement said.

"We do not want to believe that such a message of Djukanovic to Seselj was also a message to the competent state authorities who have announced the reopening of the investigation into the crimes that unfortunately happened to members of minority peoples in Montenegro precisely because of the policy which Djukanovic congratulates today. Unfortunately because of that policy the Morinj camp, Bukovica, the deportation, Strpci, the inglorious march on Dubrovnik, etc., happened in Montenegro," said the SDP.

The statement emphasizes that it is "incredible that someone can in 2016 congratulate Seselj's policy, which we believed was, at least in Montenegro, condemned and forgotten after 25 years."

"The SDP will, as in the 90s, persist in our policy of exposing the crimes and criminals and thus protect minority peoples and all citizens of Montenegro from the policy that Djukanovic congratulates today," the statement concluded.
