Slovenia's consul to Montenegro is suspected of abusing office in the process of issuing visas, Slovenia's state radio reported. The ministry of foreign affairs in Ljubljana would not confirm this information, due to an ongoing investigation. Probe at Slovenian consulate in Podgorica But its officials did say that "extraordinary supervision and internal investigation" have been conducted in Podgorica. And while the radio report suggest that the unnamed consul was illegally issuing free-of-charge visas to those who were not entitled to them, Slovenia's POP TV says the diplomat in fact took money from those submitting visa applications. Reports in Ljubljana also said that a police investigation into the case had also been launched.
