"Obviously, someone wanted to make concessions to the Albanian side out of the belief that they should get some reward and that, for reasons that are unknown to me, they should be rewarded for failing to comply with a single letter from the agreement we signed on August 25, but this is a lesson to us that we should work and fight even more," Vucic told RTS while in Davos, Switzerland.

Asked to what extent the verdict - finding Ivanovic guilty of war crimes and sentencing him to nine years in prison - can jeopardize further dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, Vucic said that he does not want to use harsh words and that even the most difficult situations should be resolved through dialogue.

"You saw that some said they did not want to come to (Kosovo) talks, but you'll see they will come, after all," Vucic said, adding that "Serbia will help Ivanovic and his family, but will also fight for its national interests."

"We have understood the message of all those who wished to send us that message. We will fight for our interests, for the respect of international and domestic law and the agreements we signed with Pristina in Brussels and will demand their fulfillment. It won't be easy, but we continue to fight," said he.
