Refurbished premises of Belgrade court opened

Justice Minister Nikola Selakovic said that the costs and duration of proceedings would be reduced now that the court is situated in one single building instead of 13 different locations as was the case until now.

Selakovic expressed gratitude to U.S. Ambassador Michael Kirby and USAID whose efforts helped reconstruct 15 misdemeanor courts in Serbia until now, adding that the works on one more court buildings are underway.

In this year alone, capital investments in the judiciary exceed EUR 10.4 million and investments are concentrated in Belgrade since the judiciary in the city is burdened with the greatest caseload, Selakovic said.
