Councilors of four northern Kosovo municipalities have requested from the Serbian government and all competent bodies to hold the local elections in Kosovo.

Councilors of four northern Kosovo municipalities have requested from the Serbian government and all competent bodies to hold the local elections in Kosovo. At a joint session held in Zvecan on Wednesday, the councilors also concluded that setting up of border crossings in Brnjak and Jarinje was unacceptable. Serbs in Kosovo tell government they want elections They stressed that they did not expect the Belgrade authorities to take part in creation of borders between central Serbia and Kosovo “because this is exactly what the current administrative crossings are”. The councilors expect EULEX to act in accordance with the six-point plan principles and to “stop working on creating another Albanian state in the Balkans”. They also noted that the citizens had expressed their absolute loyalty to Serbia by voting in the referendum on the Pristina institutions and that political representatives were obligated by the results of the referendum to be even more persistent in their fight against the institutions of the self-proclaimed state of Kosovo. Aside from 79 councilors, the session was also attended by Kosovska Mitrovica District Head Radenko Nedeljkovic, Zvecan Mayor Dragisa Milovic, Kosovska Mitrovica Mayor Krstimir Pantic and Zubin Potok Mayor Slavisa Ristic.
