Đelić to attend Sochi Forum in Russia

Bozidar Djelic will lead a Serbian delegation headed for Moscow tomorrow to discuss economic issues. On Wednesday, the deputy prime minister will meet with outgoing Russian Civil Defence and Emergency Situations Minister Sergey Shoigu and Presidential Envoy to the Central Federal District Georgy Poltavchenko. Djelic to attend Sochi Forum in Russia Djelic will also attend the 2007 Sochi Forum, which is Russia’s largest annual investment forum. He will be joined by Mining and Energy Minister Aleksandar Popovic, Trade and Services Minister Predrag Bubalo, Finance Minister Mirko Cvetkovic and Religion Minister Radomir Naumov. So far, there have been 3,000 participator applications for the forum in Sochi, the host city of the 2014 Winter Olympics. The organizers expect some 10,000 businesspeople and politicians from Russia, Europe and the Middle East to attend. The Russian Foreign Affairs Ministry stated that Sochi 2007 will be an opportunity to have three days communication with Russia’s key leaders, regional officials and potential investors. Sochi is expecting a boom in the coming seven years leading to the Olympics, during which many millions of dollars will be invested in the future Olympic city, its infrastructure and communal needs. Announcing his visit to the forum, Djelic said that there were many opportunities in Russia for Serbian companies and that during the discussions, he would discuss the possibilities for them to take advantage of the infrastructure opportunities in Sochi, and try to get “as big a piece of the pie as possible.”

Đelić will also attend the 2007 Sochi Forum, which is Russia’s largest annual investment forum.

He will be joined by Mining and Energy Minister Aleksandar Popović, Trade and Services Minister Predrag Bubalo, Finance Minister Mirko Cvetković and Religion Minister Radomir Naumov.
