Mobilkom to launch network in June

Mobilkom Austria paid 320 mn euros to acquire the third mobile telephony license in Serbia on December 1, 2006.  The Company officials announced plans to invest additional of 250 mn euros into the new network.

Nemšić said that Mobilkom didn’t intend to take over subscribers from Telekom Srbija and Telenor, since the Serbian market has enough room for all three mobile operators.

He added that Mobilkom would carry out all contractual obligations and highlighted that the preparations for the launch of the new network went exactly as planned. Nemšić also expressed satisfaction with the quality of the employed personnel.

Boris Nemšić is currently in Barcelona where he attends the 3GSM World Congress, the world's largest exhibition of mobile industry.  The Congress features the most prominent Chief Executives representing mobile operators and vendors from across the world.
