BELGRADE The coming year will create "positive effects" in the economy that will be felt "by all citizens", Economy and Finance Minister Mladjan Dinkic has said. According to the minister, who spoke for B92 in Belgrade, the state budget for 2013 "will bring much less expenses to the state", and stabilize the country's public finances. "Difficult year that will bring turning point for economy" "Our plan is to shift the positive effects toward a perspective economy, to kickstart it, and have a new value brought into the country through exports," Dinkic stated, and added: "Then, those positive effects would reflect on everyone else, but that will only happen in 2014. In sum, this year will be difficult, but we expect it to be a turning point for our export-oriented economy." Asked to comment on his statement that "there will be no layoffs in the public sector while the crisis is ongoing", and whether 2013 could be the year when "the crisis ends, and sackings begin", the minister responded: "The beginning of the end of the crisis will be the economy that grows by two percent, a single-digit inflation rate, and export growth of 25 percent. Even though it may seem like a lot, I think it is necessary." Mladjan Dinkic (Beta, file) B92
