A total of 1,843,153 people were employed in Serbia in February, according to a bulletin published by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce. The data from the Serbian Statistical Office showed that the number of employed persons in February 2010 decreased by 0.42 percent in relation to January, whereas compared to February 2009 it dropped by 6.47 percent. Unemployment figures out for February In February 2010, there were 767.418 unemployed persons in the country. The number increased by 2.84 percent compared with February 2009, and by 2.11 percent compared to January 2010. Based on the data of the National Employment Service, the registered unemployment rate in February 2010 amounted to 26.98 percent, whereas in January it totaled 26.5 percent.

Unemployment figures out for February

In February 2010, there were 767.418 unemployed persons in the country. The number increased by 2.84 percent compared with February 2009, and by 2.11 percent compared to January 2010.

Based on the data of the National Employment Service, the registered unemployment rate in February 2010 amounted to 26.98 percent, whereas in January it totaled 26.5 percent.
