Li Keqiang invites Vucic to visit China

The two officials said that the relations between China and Serbia are on an upward trajectory and that cooperation has been improved in all areas, the government press office said in a statement.

All joint infrastructure projects are progressing well and energy projects are developing, in particular the project of the Kostolac coal-fired power plant, Vucic said.

He said that Serbia on Wednesday made a USD 105 million payment for the first instalment for the second stage of the construction works at the Kostolac power plant.

Zhang noted that China is very appreciative of the political stability in Serbia and that the Chinese government will back companies, cities and provinces to ensure that as many of them as possible can participate in the privatisation of Serbian companies.

Also discussed at the meeting were Serbian agricultural exports to China, infrastructure projects, cooperation in the energy sector and the defence industry, ways to increase the number of Chinese tourists in Serbia and cooperation in sports, culture and student exchanges.
